Terms of Engagement

No, not me, but seemingly all of my closest, most beloved ladies. Let's see... Marina and Jeff and Laura and Erin eloped late last year, news which thrilled me. My friend and colleague Nicole tied the knot. Then Shonda became engaged in late November, Kristen and Justin followed, on Christmas day, and now my dearest Kate is planning to wed. Oh, and there are two weddings on the east coast this June, which I really want to attend. And how could I forget the San Diego wedding in May? It's going to be a year of flowers, discussions of appropriate hairstyles, and counseling about coping with familial demands for me this year.

I'm off to the bridal show now, to giggle about crinoline with the ladies.
