Protest

Finally, some news! And yet, could the numbers ("hundreds") be accurate?

I Said "Moment" of Silence

I'm back. Obviously getting a lot of work done today.

Quick question: I'm scanning the mainstream news sites (New York Times, CNN, BBC, Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times) right now, looking at inauguration coverage. Where are the protesters? I guarantee that thousands were planning to protest - are they there and being shut out of the coverage, or have they been forced out of the festivities? Are the media refusing coverage? Is protest on a day of balls and parties considered unpatriotic?

WHEN WILL WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES?

Ooh, sketches of the inaugural ball gowns...

Black

Today is a sad, sad day for the world. The inauguration of Bush couldn't be any more depressing. If "democracy" just means that the more ruthless PR team wins, well, I guess we're a good example of democratic principles. Thank god we're bringing our wisdom to Iraq!

Time for my day-long moment of silence.
