Conflicted

So much going on of late, and I've not taken the time to write. Many time-strapped cliches come to mind, but I'll avoid adding those here.

I've become obsessed anew with the Green Day album, which surely makes me uninteresting. I mean, how many times will I post about this? It's amazing to feel so compelled by a record by a band who I've pretty much wholly dismissed over the past few years. Further, I was never compelled by Green Day on any level other than the rock level - you know, the bob-your-head-grit-your-teeth kind of impulse. To have this band speak to me on any scale other than the aforementioned is surprising - I almost feel a dedication akin to my early love of U2. Weird.

I'm having a renewed affair with music generally, thanks again to my iPod. What a gift (literally and figuratively)!
