Hometown Holiday

I'm in L.A. having a relaxation/work visit. I have some meetings later in the week, and did some work this morning, but otherwise have been spending time soaking up my beloved town. I've already made the necessary stops to Zankou and Coffee Bean, and just spent a few hours watching Leonardo as Howard at Arclight, god's gift to movie-lovers. For anyone wondering if $11 for a matinee could possibly worth it, I say this: HELL YES. A luxury, indeed, but oh my, how wonderful it feels. I'd rather have an afternoon at Arclight than a spa day. Crazy? The movie was great, too.

I had dinner with some old friends last night - really incredible people who I am excited to be friends with until the end of my days. I feel so cheesy about my L.A. friends, sometimes. I get sappy. I'm staying with my best friend, Kate, and I'm here to say: the woman can COOK. Geez. I arrived yesterday to a fantastic lunch and awakened today to homemade scones. Delish!

Off to do some work, take a nap, and then prep for tomorrow's meetings.
